Reinaldo Salgado, born in São Paulo, Brazil, in 1965, has a degree in International Relations from the University of Brasília. Between 1986 and 2006 he completed the Diplomatic Career Access Course, the Continuation Course for Diplomats, and the Higher Studies Course, all at Instituto Rio Branco. He has an extensive diplomatic career in which he has been, from 1987 to date, Third Secretary, Second Secretary, First Secretary, Counselor, and currently, Minister. He was part of diplomatic missions in London, Caracas, Brussels and Buenos Aires. He has worked in several divisions including Africa, Mercosur- EU relationship, regional integration, Mercosur Trade Commission and Foreign Affairs.
