Alejandro Luis Bottan
Executive and regional president for Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay - General Electric
He was born on June 3rd, 1955 in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1979, he graduated from the Universidad de Buenos Aires with a double degree on Public National Accounting and Business Management. After working for Andersen & Co. for four years, he settled in the United States where he received a master’s in Management at the University of Indiana. In 1985, Bottan started working for the RCA Corporation at their headquarters in Princeton, New Jersey. In 1988 he was transferred to GE’s Energy Systems business in Schenectady, New York, where he occupied positions of progressive responsibility in the financial and commercial areas. In 1994, Alejandro Bottan was named Executive and Regional President for Argentina, Paraguay and Uruguay. In 2008, he took charge of operations in Chile as well. He currently resides in Buenos Aires with his wife and children, Nicolas and Victoria.
